On their own initiative, a group of Real Madrid fan club presidents is gathering signatures from the compromising members to rename Valdebebas as Ciudad Deportiva Florentino Pérez (Florentino Perez Sports City). The plan is receiving support despite the challenges presented by the summertime dates, and if nothing changes, it will be submitted for approval to the following Real Madrid General Assembly.

Everything suggests that the Madrid delegates will approve the proposal after all the required signatures have been collected.

The Real Madrid Sports City has 1.2 million square meters. It was inaugurated in 2005 with 11 football fields with natural and artificial grass and a stadium with a capacity for 6,000 spectators, as well as a basketball pavilion, a medical center and a building that serves as the club's offices.
