Florentino Pérez is reportedly close to reuniting with a familiar face, with Diario AS claiming that Real Madrid have appointed Bernd Reichart as the club's new head of business. Journalist José Félix Díaz reports that the German executive, who previously led the Super League project after its announcement by the Real Madrid president, is set to take on a new role at the club.
Reichart served as CEO of the Super League and became one of the project's leading figures, particularly through his media appearances. With the competition project now abandoned, he is reportedly preparing to begin a new chapter at Real Madrid.
The appointment would reflect Pérez's confidence in Reichart's experience in the business sector. Before his involvement with the Super League, the German held an executive position at Atresmedia and served as CEO of RTL Deutschland, one of Europe's major media groups.
According to José Félix Díaz, Reichart will oversee several key commercial areas, including stadium operations, sponsorships and merchandising. These are important sources of revenue for Real Madrid as the club continues to develop its business operations.
Díaz also reports that Reichart will work under general manager José Ángel Sánchez, to whom he will report on decisions related to his responsibilities.
