Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez attended the inauguration of the clay court installed at the Santiago Bernabéu for the Mutua Madrid Open, where players will be able to train until April 30.
The event brought together several prominent figures, including Real Madrid players Thibaut Courtois, Jude Bellingham and Linda Caicedo, as well as Rafael Nadal, honorary club member and the most successful player in the tournament’s history with five titles. Jannik Sinner, current ATP number one, and Iga Swiatek, ranked fourth in the WTA, were also present as participants in this year’s competition.
Former players and tournament co-directors Feliciano López and Garbiñe Muguruza attended alongside Mutua Madrid Open CEO Gerard Tsobanian. The ceremony concluded with an exchange of gifts among those present.
