Felicia Schröder is among the candidates for the 2026 Young Player of the Year award presented by France Football.
The new Real Madrid forward enjoyed a successful 2025/26 campaign with Häcken, winning the Swedish league title and the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup. Schröder finished the European competition as its top scorer with eight goals.
The other nominees are Buurman, Vicky López, Clara Serrajordi and Yohannes.
The winner will be announced at the Ballon d'Or gala in London on October 26, with this year's ceremony marking the 70th edition of the prestigious awards.
The award will be decided by a jury made up of former Women's Ballon d'Or winners, players who have finished on the podium for the award since its introduction in 2018, and the editor-in-chief of France Football.
