A fan in the Animation Stand was recorded before kickoff making a Nazi salute during the build-up to the match between Real Madrid and Benfica. Stadium security swiftly identified the individual and removed him from the Santiago Bernabéu before the game began.
Real Madrid confirmed that an immediate disciplinary investigation has been launched to determine the appropriate action under the club’s internal regulations. The club strongly condemned any form of hatred, racism, or violence, reaffirming its commitment to respect, coexistence, and fair play.
The statement also stressed that Real Madrid will cooperate with the relevant authorities if required and will implement any further measures necessary to ensure that such behavior has no place inside the stadium.
