Fabrizio Romano has reacted to Real Madrid’s official statement denying contact over Michael Olise, offering clarification on the club’s stance and the current situation surrounding the Bayern Munich winger.

According to the Italian journalist, Olise remains a dream target for Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez, who is said to be highly appreciative of the French international’s profile and talent.

Romano explained that Real Madrid’s statement specifically denied any direct or indirect conversations with the player or his entourage, rather than ruling out general interest in him as a potential signing.

He also highlighted the strong institutional relationship between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, noting that both clubs were keen to avoid any public narrative suggesting that an agreement with Olise had already been reached.

At the same time, Romano stressed that there are currently no negotiations taking place between Real Madrid and the player. He added that the Spanish club would never approach a Bayern Munich player without first engaging with the German side, in line with their long-standing mutual respect.

From Bayern’s perspective, the situation remains unchanged, with the Bundesliga champions determined to keep Olise and reportedly planning to offer him a new contract to secure his long-term future at the club.
