Real Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw by Fiorentina in their first preseason friendly at the Wörthersee Stadion in Klagenfurt, Austria, in a match that featured the debuts of Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Espí.
José Mourinho's side made a bright start and broke the deadlock in the 12th minute. Álvaro Carreras delivered a cross into the area, and Endrick controlled the ball before firing a powerful left-footed finish past the goalkeeper to give Real Madrid the lead.
The Spanish giants doubled their advantage shortly before the cooling break. In the 24th minute, Eduardo Camavinga initiated the attack before Arda Güler cleverly dummied the ball inside the box, allowing Ciria to score on his first-team debut and make it 2-0.
Despite Real Madrid's dominance, Fiorentina pulled one back just before halftime. Piccoli found the net with the visitors' first shot on target in the 41st minute, reducing the deficit before the break.
Fiorentina improved after the restart and pushed hard for an equalizer. Debutant Mario Rivas denied Albert Gudmundsson with an excellent save before the Icelandic forward missed another clear opportunity moments later. However, the pressure eventually paid off when Moise Kean headed home in the 58th minute to level the score at 2-2, a result that remained unchanged until the final whistle.
