There is growing unease at Real Madrid regarding the situation of Endrick, one of the club’s most highly rated young talents. The Brazilian striker, who arrived last year from Palmeiras after turning 18, was expected to gradually carve out an important role in the first team. Instead, he is going through a difficult spell defined by a clear lack of playing time.

Endrick featured last Wednesday against Manchester City, but largely due to a shortage of alternatives rather than a sporting decision based on trust. This context has intensified the feeling that a temporary departure is now closer than ever.

Inside Valdebebas, there is surprise at how Endrick’s role has evolved under Xabi Alonso. As journalist José Luis Sánchez explained on El Chiringuito’s Twitch channel, “At Real Madrid, they don’t understand Endrick’s ostracism. They don’t understand why he’s not getting playing time, considering that last year, in the few matches he played, he scored many goals and was important in the Copa del Rey.”

Within the club, there is a belief that Endrick could have contributed more if he had been given continuity and greater confidence. The lack of sporting trust has also raised concerns within the player’s entourage, strengthening the idea that a loan move could be the best solution for his development.

All signs currently point to Olympique Lyonnais as Endrick’s next destination. The move would allow him to gain regular minutes and responsibility in a competitive league, with the added objective of staying on track for a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad. Real Madrid accepts that the current situation is benefiting neither side and sees a loan as the most sensible path, while maintaining the long-term plan of welcoming him back to the Bernabéu in June.
