Endrick’s future at Real Madrid may be heading for an unexpected twist. According to Miguel Ángel Díaz on Cope’s El Partidazo, the young Brazilian held a decisive meeting after the team’s most recent training session with José Ángel Sánchez, Real Madrid’s General Manager, and Juni Calafat, Head of International Football. The goal: to reassess his current situation and define his immediate future with the club.
Initially, Endrick remained in Spain, recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in late May, and did not join his teammates for the early stages of the Club World Cup in the United States. However, once the group phase ended, he changed course and traveled to Palm Beach to be closer to Xabi Alonso and the team.
The emergence of Gonzalo, who has scored three goals in four matches, seems to have alarmed Endrick. He knows that his development, and his place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for next year’s World Cup, depends heavily on his playing time at club level.
This led to the Brazilian requesting clarity about his role for the upcoming season. He wants to know whether he'll be part of Alonso’s core squad or if a loan move is necessary to gain minutes elsewhere. With a crucial international year ahead, Endrick doesn't want to risk being sidelined, neither at Real Madrid nor with the national team.
