Endrick is currently one of the most popular football players in the world. At just 17 years old, he won his second Brasileirao with Palmeiras following a fantastic season in which he scored 11 goals; only Ronaldo had scored more goals (12) in a single campaign when he was under 18 years old. Real Madrid are eagerly awaiting Endrick's arrival, considering his incredible quality and potential.
Though Endrick's life was not all happiness and success, he did discuss his early struggles and his parents' difficult financial situation in an interview with the English newspaper The Guardian. "I never went hungry, but my parents did. They fasted for me. That gave me a lot of strength because I did not want to see them go through that again. I did not want to see them in need, giving me food and going without it," the striker recalls.
Endrick, who will join Real Madrid in July after becoming a true global sensation despite his youth, admits, "My mother and my sister say that I am cold. People say that I have a heart of ice and that I am very cold in the decisions I make and in what I say."
