He made it clear that the youngster’s adaptation was never an issue. “Endrick had no adaptation problems whatsoever,” Freitas stated, recalling that “he scored in his first Champions League match, his first league match, and his first cup match.” From his perspective, Endrick’s time at Real Madrid should not be viewed as a failure, despite his limited playing time.

According to Freitas, the context at the club explains the situation. “When you arrive at a club where eight of the ten best players in the world are already there, it’s normal for an 18-year-old to have limited playing time,” he said, mentioning Vinícius, Mbappé, Bellingham, and Rodrygo as examples. He also pointed to other factors that affected the player’s season: “He didn’t do preseason, he didn’t go to the Club World Cup, and he was out for several months. At a club like Real Madrid, that penalizes you a lot.”

The agent confirmed that Endrick’s loan move was agreed upon with the coaching staff. “Endrick spoke with Carlo Ancelotti and also with Xabi Alonso,” Freitas explained, underlining that both coaches advised him to seek regular minutes. The loan to Olympique Lyon follows that idea: to play consistently, compete, and continue developing away from the Bernabéu, without controversy or negative interpretations.

Regarding the future, Freitas left no room for doubt. “The decision has already been made: Endrick will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season,” he said. He also clarified that “there is no purchase option” and that “it’s just a loan.” He concluded firmly: “At the end of the season, Endrick will be a Real Madrid player again.”

When asked about the competition he will face upon returning, with Mbappé as the main reference, Freitas avoided predictions. “I can’t predict the future,” he said, adding that “Endrick only thinks about the next match, always the next match.” His return is guaranteed. His role remains to be defined.
