Real Madrid have received a major boost ahead of the new basketball season with the return of Edy Tavares.
The center has fully recovered from the injury that ruled him out for the final stretch of last season after he was hurt during the opening EuroLeague playoff game against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Barring any setbacks, Tavares is expected to take part in preseason training without restrictions.
Since suffering the injury, the Cape Verde international has followed an intensive recovery program. After initially keeping his left leg immobilized, he progressed to gym work to rebuild muscle strength before resuming running sessions outside the Valdebebas training complex.
Tavares has also returned to on-court training throughout July and is now enjoying a short break before joining the squad for preseason preparations.
