Real Madrid’s most expensive signing in history is already beginning to show why the club invested €140 million in him this summer.
While Yan Diomande remains a young player with significant potential, the size of the transfer fee brings expectations of an immediate impact. The Ivorian winger has impressed in his recent appearances as José Mourinho gradually increases his involvement in the starting lineup.
Although Diomande is yet to score and has provided just one assist, his individual numbers are already standing out. He is currently the most effective dribbler in LaLiga, even ahead of Lamine Yamal.

The feeling around Diomande is that Real Madrid have only seen a glimpse of what he can offer. He is beginning to find his rhythm but still appears somewhat reserved given the enormous stage he is playing on.
As he continues to earn Mourinho's trust, Diomande will have an opportunity to show just how much potential he has and why Real Madrid made such a significant investment in him.
