Diogo Dalot has emerged as a strong candidate to strengthen Real Madrid’s right-back position, according to journalist Miguel “Látigo” Serrano.

The Portuguese defender has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid in recent hours as agents look to take advantage of the opening created by Dani Carvajal’s departure. Dalot currently has a contract with Manchester United until 2028, with an option to extend it for an additional year, while his market value is said to be around €35 million.

José Mourinho, who is expected to become Real Madrid’s next coach, already knows Dalot well from their time together at Manchester United. The Portuguese manager brought the defender to the English club in 2021, and he has remained an important part of the squad since then.

Dalot is viewed as a profile that could fit Real Madrid’s needs due to his versatility and balance between defense and attack. A regular for both Manchester United and the Portugal national team, the 27-year-old is capable of playing on either flank and has shown clear improvement defensively in recent seasons.

The defender could provide additional defensive solidity on the right side, offering a different profile compared to Trent while also competing for a starting role following Carvajal’s exit.
