Cristiano Ronaldo shared a touching moment with Rodrygo Goes following the goalless draw between Colombia and Portugal, offering words of encouragement to the injured Real Madrid forward.
Rodrygo, who watched the match from the stands, approached the Portuguese legend after the final whistle to greet him. During their conversation, Ronaldo asked the Brazilian about his recovery.
“It’s been six months already…” Rodrygo replied, expressing his frustration after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Ronaldo encouraged the winger to remain patient, assuring him that everything would be fine before the two embraced and went their separate ways.
The exchange quickly caught the attention of Real Madrid supporters, highlighting the respect Rodrygo has for the former Madrid star. Although they never played together at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Brazilian has often spoken of his admiration for Ronaldo.
Rodrygo is continuing his recovery from the anterior cruciate ligament injury he suffered in March. The six-month period he mentioned also includes the physical problems he experienced earlier in the year, and he is expected to miss a significant part of the first half of next season.
