Josep Ribas, the architect behind the renovation of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, recently appeared on TV3’s program Tot es mou and revealed exciting news — concerts are set to return to Real Madrid’s home very soon.
“The noise issue should be resolved in about two months. I can’t go into detail because it’s not our area, but the best acoustics company in the world is handling it,” Ribas explained, confirming that the final major obstacle is close to being overcome.
The architect, who directed one of the most ambitious projects of the 21st century, reminded viewers that Real Madrid’s vision has always been to transform the Bernabéu into a truly multifunctional venue. “The stadium is already prepared — and will be even more so in the coming months — to host all kinds of events. Football is the foundation, but it’s only fifty games a year. This stadium needs to be active 365 days a year to be profitable, and Real Madrid understood that from day one,” he said.
