According to Diario AS, Dani Ceballos has made the decision to remain with Real Madrid this year. Since his current deal expires in 2023, the club is now looking into the possibility of giving him a contract extension.
Ceballos' choice was significantly influenced by Carlo Ancelotti. The midfielder will receive more playing time this season, the coach promised. He feels that Dani has the most similar profile to Luka Modric than any player.
The 26-year-old might consequently be one of the first replacements for the starting midfield trio.
Ceballos is highly regarded by Ancelotti, who considered starting him against Almeria but then decided in favor of the young players.
