Dani Ceballos’ future at Real Madrid is increasingly uncertain, with the midfielder no longer part of Álvaro Arbeloa’s plans. The Andalusian has struggled to secure a regular role and has frequently been linked with a return to Real Betis, where he began his career.

According to Cadena Cope, Arbeloa intends to leave Ceballos out of the squad for the remainder of the season. The decision has already been reflected in recent matches, with the midfielder excluded from the squad against Real Betis. His last appearance came on February 21 against Osasuna, where he played just nine minutes.

Although Ceballos continues to train with the group, his involvement is expected to be limited to training sessions until the end of the campaign, as reported by Miguel Ángel Díaz. His absence from the manager’s plans reportedly follows a recent disagreement between player and coach.

The situation appeared to reach a turning point on Monday, when Ceballos shared a photo from training on Instagram accompanied by the message “Closing chapter,” a gesture widely interpreted as a sign of his imminent departure.
