Dani Carvajal has undergone surgery on his right knee after feeling discomfort following his return from injury in El Clásico against Barcelona. The Real Madrid captain will be out for around two to three months as he begins a new recovery process.
After the match, medical tests revealed “the presence of a loose joint in his right knee.” This finding led to immediate surgical intervention to address the issue and prevent further complications.
Although the club has not provided an official recovery timeline, medical estimates suggest that Carvajal could be sidelined for up to three months. It marks another difficult setback for the defender, who has struggled with recurring injuries since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament against Villarreal on October 9, 2024. Earlier this season, he also missed the derby against Atlético Madrid due to a muscle problem.
