Dani Carvajal said goodbye to Real Madrid City ahead of what is expected to be his final match with the club.

The Real Madrid captain closes a remarkable spell that included 23 seasons at the club, with 10 years in the academy and 13 with the first team, during which he won 27 titles.

Two decades ago carvajal laid the foundation stone of Valdebebas while he was part of the Under-12 A side. Now, before the match against Athletic Bilbao, the defender wanted to bid farewell to the training complex where he built his career.

Following the team’s final training session, Carvajal shared a photo from pitches one and two at Valdebebas along with an emotional message.

"Last day where I grew, worked, and fought to achieve my dreams. We'll see each other again in a different version of me."

The message appeared to hint at a possible future return to the club in another role, although Carvajal also made it clear that he still feels capable of continuing his playing career.
