Éder Militão was the victim of a robbery at his home during Real Madrid's Clásico against Barcelona, with watches, jewellery and other valuables worth more than €350,000 stolen, according to El Mundo. The incident took place at his residence in La Moraleja during the first half of the match, while the Brazilian defender was on the bench.
The break-in occurred between 9:00 and 10:00 PM last Sunday. According to the newspaper, at least two individuals gained access to an upstairs room in the player's house. At the time, several of Militão's relatives were downstairs watching the match and were completely unaware of the robbery.
Among the stolen items were several particularly valuable watches. El Mundo reports that a Rolex worth approximately €53,000 and a Richard Mille valued at around €170,000 are missing. Three Chanel handbags, estimated to be worth €15,000 in total, were also taken, along with Cartier rings and bracelets valued at up to €25,000.
The list of stolen belongings also includes other jewellery, bracelets and suitcases. The total value of the stolen goods is therefore expected to exceed €350,000, making the incident another case of a professional footballer being targeted by burglars at home.
