Real Madrid are taking another step toward preserving the squad’s quality in the long term, with the club focused on keeping key players at the highest level for years to come. One of the names on that list is Brahim Díaz, whose future has been the subject of growing speculation in recent months.
According to information shared by Antón Meana on Cadena SER’s El Larguero, Brahim has already signed a new contract with Real Madrid that will keep him at the club until 2030. However, the winger’s intention is clear. He does not want to be considered a substitute by default. His role has changed significantly since Carlo Ancelotti’s departure, with his minutes dropping from around 800 to roughly 500, despite his strong performances with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations.
While no financial details have been disclosed, the report highlights that Brahim is determined to earn a more prominent role under Xabi Alonso and to compete on equal terms with his teammates. His commitment to staying at the club is firm, but he also wants his importance on the pitch to reflect that commitment.
In recent months, multiple reports had suggested that Brahim Díaz would extend his deal until either 2030 or 2031. Meana has now clarified that the agreement runs until 2030. It represents a positive step for both the club and the player, even if strong competition in his position has limited his playing time so far.
