Bernardo Silva made his debut for Real Madrid in the victory against Ferencváros in the club's second preseason friendly, played at the Ferencváros Stadion in Budapest.

The Portuguese midfielder entered the match after halftime and completed 48 minutes on the pitch. After the final whistle, he spoke to Realmadrid TV about his first appearance as a Real Madrid player.

"I'm very happy. This game is very important for preparing for the season, and personally, I'm very happy to have made my debut for Real Madrid."

Bernardo highlighted the importance of the early preseason work and the process of adapting to his new surroundings.

"It's only the first week, but I'm very happy. There are still many things to improve, but the most important thing is to get into a rhythm to start the season well, and that's what we're doing."

The midfielder also explained the versatility he wants to bring to Mourinho's team. "I try to give what the team needs at any given moment. Sometimes a little more in the build-up, other times a little further up the pitch in pressing or in the final third. I'm a player who tries to help in several different areas and I'll be there to help Real Madrid in any way I can."

Regarding his first minutes with the squad, Bernardo admitted that adapting to his new teammates will be one of the key objectives in the coming weeks. "Tough, but very happy to have started. I'm trying to get to know my teammates because it's very important to understand each player's characteristics to know what they like to do in matches and training. I'll be doing that in the coming weeks, preparing myself as much as possible to start the season well."
