The new Santiago Bernabéu already impresses with its stunning transformation, yet the project is not entirely finished. The exterior section facing Paseo de la Castellana remains under construction, as it will house the spectacular atrium that will serve as the stadium’s main entrance.
Inside, further adjustments were carried out this summer to prepare for upcoming commitments—most notably the NFL’s arrival in Spain. These works temporarily limited access to parts of the Bernabéu Tour, with areas such as the locker rooms closed to visitors.
Now, the restrictions are over: the tour is once again fully open, allowing fans to explore the locker rooms, gym, physiotherapy rooms, technical workspaces, and even the benches at pitch level.
The renovations were essential for Spain’s first official NFL game, scheduled for November 16, when the Miami Dolphins will face the Washington Commanders at the Bernabéu. To accommodate the event, Real Madrid expanded the locker rooms to fit American football squads, which feature more than 50 players plus large coaching staffs.
The pitch also required modifications. An NFL field is nearly five meters longer than a standard football pitch, forcing the removal of several rows of seats. With these adjustments completed, the Bernabéu Tour has returned to normal, once again offering fans the chance to step into the very spaces where Los Blancos prepare for battle.
