Jude Bellingham received the 2024 Laureus Award for Best New Athlete at the gala held at the Cibeles Palace and also attended by President Florentino Pérez.

The Englishman won in this category over Real Madrid player Linda Caicedo, tennis player Coco Gauff, swimmer Qin Haiyang, middle distance player Josh Kerr, and Barcelona forward Salma Paralluelo.

The winners of the Laureus Awards are chosen by an international jury made up of figures from the history of sports.
