In addition to the injuries to Mendy and Vinicius, Real Madrid’s night worsened with the dismissals of Rüdiger, Lucas Vázquez, and Bellingham in the final stages of the match. Among the trio, Rüdiger’s situation appears the most serious, based on referee De Burgos Bengoetxea’s official report.

“He was sent off for throwing an object from the technical area that narrowly missed me. After being shown the red card, he had to be restrained by several coaching staff members, displaying an aggressive attitude,” the referee detailed.

As a result, Rüdiger now faces a suspension ranging from four to twelve matches under Article 101 of the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Disciplinary Code. This article covers "mild violence toward referees" — such as grabbing, pushing, or other physical conduct that, while not severely aggressive, still crosses the line. If confirmed, the German defender would miss the final La Liga matches, including the pivotal Clásico.

Meanwhile, the cases of Lucas Vázquez and Jude Bellingham are considered less severe. Their potential suspensions are expected to range between two and three matches, most likely two, and will likely be served during the next edition of the Copa del Rey.

This falls under Article 124 of the Disciplinary Code, which addresses "attitudes of contempt or disregard toward referees, directors, or sports authorities," punishable by a two-to-three match ban or a suspension of up to one month.

Lucas Vázquez was shown a direct red card for protesting a referee’s decision and stepping several meters onto the field while making dissenting gestures. Bellingham, for his part, was sent off after the final whistle for approaching the referees in an aggressive manner, an action that required his teammates to physically restrain him, according to the match report.
