Real Madrid continue to monitor the market in search of an opportunity to strengthen their midfield. In this context, Martín Zubimendi has emerged as a potential target following the collapse of the move for Rodri.

According to Mirror Football, Arsenal have not closed the door on Zubimendi’s departure and would be willing to let the Spanish midfielder leave if a suitable offer arrives. The English club have reportedly valued him at €90 million.

Real Madrid therefore continue to have several midfield options on their radar, although the club still wants to offload a player before making another addition. The Rodri situation showed that a departure is not necessarily required to pursue a new signing, but the Spanish midfielder was viewed as a market opportunity that Real Madrid could not ignore, even though the move ultimately failed to materialize.

For now, the club continues to explore midfield options while remaining satisfied with the squad at Mourinho’s disposal.
