Arda Güler has been named UEFA's 2025/26 Champions League Breakthrough Player of the Year following an impressive campaign with Real Madrid.
The Turkish midfielder made 14 appearances in the competition, starting 13 matches. He scored twice in the quarter-final second leg against Bayern Munich and also contributed three assists throughout the tournament.
Güler's standout display in Real Madrid's group-stage victory over Juventus earned him the Man of the Match award and further highlighted his growing influence on the team.
UEFA introduced the Breakthrough Player of the Year award as a replacement for the previous Young Player award. The recognition is intended to honor players who make exceptional progress and establish themselves at a higher level over the course of a season.
