Arda Güler has publicly responded to the statements made by Serhat Pekmezci, former head of scouting at Fenerbahçe and one of the figures who closely supported him during the early stages of his career. Pekmezci had claimed that the Real Madrid midfielder was the victim of bullying by some teammates — allegations that Güler has firmly denied.
In an official statement, the Turkish international expressed his disappointment: “I have been saddened to see the recent public statements made by former head of scouting Serhat Pekmezci, who played an important role at the beginning of my career. From day one, I have been warmly welcomed by everyone at this club and have always considered this place my family.”
Güler reaffirmed his commitment to the club and dismissed the accusations: “I am extremely proud to be a Real Madrid player and I wish to defend this badge for many more years.”
He also made a direct appeal regarding the controversy: “We have a very strong team and I feel happy and honored to share a locker room with all my teammates. I kindly request that no attention be paid to any comments or reports, written or expressed, on this matter.”
With this statement, Güler has sought to put an end to the speculation and close ranks around the dressing room amid the recent claims.
