Álvaro Arbeloa addressed the recent incident involving Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni during what became his most anticipated press conference since taking charge of Real Madrid.
The coach made it clear that he does not justify what happened between the two players, while also insisting that situations of tension can occur inside football dressing rooms. Arbeloa stressed that what disappointed him most was the leak of internal matters to the public.
“For me, the most serious thing, and what hurts me the most—and I've told this to my players—is that what happens in the Real Madrid dressing room should stay in the Real Madrid dressing room. That's what hurts me the most.”
Arbeloa continued: “Situations like this don't represent Real Madrid because they shouldn't happen between teammates. They've always happened everywhere, and I'm not justifying it in any way. But I've seen even worse situations.”
Despite the controversy surrounding the squad in recent days, the Real Madrid coach insisted he still believes the dressing room remains healthy and united.
