The State Anti-Violence Commission has proposed a €4,000 fine and a 12-month ban from sports venues for an Oviedo supporter accused of racially abusing Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr.
The incident occurred in the 37th minute of the match between the two teams, when cameras captured a man in the north stand of the Carlos Tartiere stadium making “monkey-like gestures.” He was later identified by the National Police as a member of a local fan group.
The individual was arrested on September 6, and Oviedo’s First Court of Instruction is now investigating whether the actions constitute a criminal offense, the Commission confirmed.
