Bournemouth have reached an agreement with Elche to sign Álvaro "Torito" Rodríguez for €25 million plus a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Real Madrid, which retained 50% of the striker's economic rights, will benefit significantly from the transfer. Álvaro was under contract with Elche until 2029 after joining the club last summer in a €2 million move, following Getafe's decision not to complete his signing.
The Premier League club, managed by Marco Rose, moved quickly to secure the Uruguay international. According to the report, the deal was completed on Wednesday, with the player expected to undergo his medical on Monday before signing a five-year contract.
As a result of the agreement, Real Madrid are set to receive €12.5 million from the fixed transfer fee, with an additional €2.5 million possible if performance-related bonuses are achieved. Combined with the €2 million received from Álvaro's transfer to Elche, the club could earn a total of around €17 million from the striker.
