Álvaro Arbeloa has reportedly identified a Real Madrid academy player as one of his first transfer targets after taking charge of Fulham.
According to AS, the former Real Madrid coach has asked the Premier League club to explore the signing of Castilla midfielder César Palacios. Although the academy graduate began preseason with José Mourinho's first team, he is expected to spend next season away from the Santiago Bernabéu.
Palacios is currently evaluating his options alongside Real Madrid before making a final decision on his future. A move to Fulham is among the possibilities under consideration as Arbeloa looks to strengthen his new squad with familiar talent from Valdebebas.
