Alphonso Davies has finally addressed speculation about his future at Bayern Munich, with Real Madrid reportedly eyeing the Canadian defender as a target for their left-back position. In recent comments, Davies emphasized his current focus on Bayern but left the door open for future possibilities.

"My focus is fully on this team. I'm playing here at Bayern Munich now, and that’s where my concentration lies. I want to win every game. Whether I stay or leave the club, Bayern will always be in my heart," Davies told the German press.

Davies' contract with Bayern Munich runs until June 30, 2025. He has had a strong start to the season, playing regularly under coach Kompany, with two consecutive starts and four in the last five matches.

If Davies chooses not to renew his contract, he would become a free agent in 2025, following a similar path to Kylian Mbappé’s move from PSG to Real Madrid. Like Mbappé, Davies would be free to negotiate with other clubs and would likely receive a significant signing bonus upon joining a new team.

Real Madrid are reportedly waiting for Davies to decide against renewing with Bayern, paving the way for a potential free transfer to the Santiago Bernabéu. Though the transfer would not come at no cost, as Davies would be expected to command a substantial signing fee, this remains the preferred scenario for Real Madrid.
