Real Madrid’s recent instability has reignited speculation over the future of the bench. Two consecutive league defeats cost them the top spot, while Barça have now opened a four-point gap. The pressure is mounting around Álvaro Arbeloa, who took charge after Carlo Ancelotti’s departure in spring 2025 and Xabi Alonso’s exit last January.

In Italy, Corriere dello Sport reports that Massimiliano Allegri, currently managing AC Milan, is among the names being considered by Real Madrid. The same outlet mentions Jürgen Klopp, currently out of coaching but under contract with Red Bull, as another alternative on the club’s radar.

Meanwhile, Corriere della Sera claims this would mark the third contact between Real Madrid and Allegri. The Italian coach was previously linked to the Bernabéu in 2019 and 2021. Both attempts failed to result in an agreement, although talks in the second case were reportedly at an advanced stage.
