Álex Jiménez, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, continued his development at AC Milan, where he made his Serie A debut. Last summer, the young defender opted for a new challenge and joined Bournemouth on loan under Andoni Iraola, in a deal that included a €26 million purchase option.
The Premier League side is expected to activate that clause, a move that would see Real Madrid receive 50% of the transfer fee. Amid this context, Jiménez spoke to Mundo Deportivo, addressing both his current situation and the possibility of a future return to Madrid.
Speaking about Real Madrid, the player was clear about his mindset: “Right now I’m focused on Bournemouth, on this season, but going back would be a dream for me because I grew up there and it’s the place where I became who I am today. Right now, all I know is that I have a contract with Bournemouth and I’m very happy here. I don’t know where I’ll play next.”
