On May 12, 2004, an event was held under the presidency of Florentino Pérez, to commemorate the laying of the first stone at the world's best sporting complex. Alfredo Di Stéfano and Dani Carvajal were tasked with launching a project that has since become a source of great pride for all of Madrid. Real Madrid City, which was Inaugurated on September 30, 2005, has never stopped growing, maintaining its position at the forefront of international sport.
It is where the football first team's daily work takes place, whether in the training facilities or at the matchday residence. Real Madrid City also serves as a training and home ground for the club's women's first team and youth teams.
The basketball team is now a part of the complex, thanks to the addition of the sports center. It serves as a training facility for Pablo Laso's men as well as a base for the basketball academy teams.
The Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, the academy residence, and the corporate office building are all notable areas of Real Madrid City.
