Real Madrid finally received some positive news on the injury front: Dean Huijsen trained with the squad today, giving Los Blancos a much-needed boost at the back.
The young Spanish centre-back had been sidelined for the last four matches, a period that—coincidentally or not—aligned with the team’s noticeable dip in results. Now, at 20 years old, he’s close to getting the green light from the medical staff and should be available for Sunday’s La Liga clash against Alavés.
With Xabi Alonso’s squad hit hard by injuries, Huijsen’s return is more than welcome. It strengthens the defensive options at a moment when every piece matters. Whether he goes straight into the starting XI is something we’ll only know closer to matchday, but at least the coach finally has another centre-back to count on.
