Eduardo Camavinga will return to Madrid to rejoin Xabi Alonso’s squad after suffering a muscle injury. The French midfielder traveled to join his national team but was unable to train throughout the week. He missed the match against Ukraine, and the Federation has now confirmed that he will also be unavailable for Tuesday’s game against Azerbaijan, prompting his return to the Spanish capital.
Due to concerns about Camavinga’s fitness, Didier Deschamps called up Khéphren Thuram earlier in the week. The Real Madrid midfielder will now undergo medical evaluation by the club’s doctors. Although Madrid allowed him to join France without objections, he has not trained since the first day at Clairefontaine.
Camavinga will focus on recovering in time for Real Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Elche on November 23. Three days later, the team will face Olympiacos in the Champions League.
