Eleven minutes. That’s all Endrick has played this season for Real Madrid. The Brazilian forward is going through one of his most difficult moments since joining the club, and rumors about a possible departure in the upcoming winter transfer window are growing stronger by the day. His main goal: to find regular playing time that could help him earn a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for next summer’s World Cup.

“It’s important for Endrick to get back to playing,” said his former club coach and current Brazil national team manager, emphasizing how crucial it is for the young striker to regain prominence if he wants to remain in contention for a World Cup call-up.

The Brazilian, who missed the Club World Cup due to a hamstring injury, has since fallen down the pecking order. Even as a substitute, he’s behind Gonzalo, who earned his place through his impressive preseason form and goal-scoring performances. Given this situation, Ancelotti himself has reportedly advised the youngster to carefully consider his future ahead of January.

“Yes, I spoke with him at the beginning of the season. He was injured, but now he’s fine. He needs to think with his family about what’s best and talk to the club to see what suits him,” the Italian coach said in an interview with Placar.

Currently relegated to a very secondary role, Endrick has played fewer minutes than even rotation players such as Gonzalo, Alaba, Fran García, and Rodrygo. Despite this, Ancelotti remains calm about the situation: “Endrick is very young; this won’t be his last World Cup. He could play in 2026 because he has the quality, but also in 2030, 2034, or even 2038. The important thing is that he plays again and shows his talent.”
