Zidane tipped to coach France: “If Deschamps leaves, he will be the first called”

14 Feb 2021

Zinedine Zidane has been tipped to become the next coach of the French national team.

The president of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Graet, feels the Real Madrid boss would be the first that he would meet with if current coach Didier Deschamps were to step down.

“If Deschamps decides to leave, the first one I will meet with will be Zidane,” Le Graet said on RTL.

“I have very good personal relations with Zidane.”

Deschamps currently has a contract with France until 2022, as has Zidane at Real Madrid.

And Deschamps has previously said that the logical thing would be for Zidane to replace him one day in the national team dugout.
