Toni Kroos has a knee ligament injury and it will be a battle against time for him to be fit for Real Madrid’s return clash against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.
He picked up the strain to his left knee in the first-leg of the Champions League tie. The German stood out, running 13kms, the most in the Real team against PSG and having given his all he felt the strain to his knee.
Kroos underwent an examination on Friday where the injury was identified.
Zidane is set to replace him on Sunday against Real Betis with Mateo Kovacic.
