It was there that Mina Bonino and Fede Valverde saw them. She, from Argentina, sent a message on Twitter asking to be able to contact Luca, as she explains to Olé: “We got very involved because the story broke us. And in my case, I’m a mother, it killed me, crying.” The couple did their best to get the little boy’s address and to be able to send him a gift that Luca just received.
“We sent him an autographed Real Madrid T-shirt and other gifts, also for his father and sister. Luca was very happy. Besides, they were super grateful and humble,” Mina Bonino explained to Olé. Luca received a generous shipment of sports equipment, signed shirts from Valverde and a huge remote hug from one of the best players in the world. “Luca’s happiness with the gifts is immense. I have no words of gratitude. The three of us are very happy. Eternally grateful for making my son smile, thank you very much,” the family wrote to thank the couple.
A hug from a distance, a caress for a little boy who is having a hard time without his mother and who at least for a while had a smile on his face with the surprise of a footballer who, if he was not before, surely he has become his idol. It is not the first time that the madridista footballer has carried out an act of this type. Valverde collaborates with the Red Cross in the Community of Madrid to help the most disadvantaged families and people, is involved with the ‘School Success’ project and has made donations of sports equipment to the cause.
