Andriy Lunin has returned to Real Madrid to be the backup to Thibaut Courtois and his national team coach Andriy Shevchenko is confident that the youngster can make it at Los Blancos.
The former striker hailed the 21-year-old goalkeeper ahead of Ukraine ‘s game against Spain for the Nations League.
“He has great potential and that’s why he’s returned to Real Madrid ,” he said at a press conference.
“I think he’s ready for this challenge, both at his club and at the national team.
“He has played a couple of games with us and has shown the level he has.
“I have great confidence in him.”
