After not reaching any agreement with Edinson Cavani, Benfica is looking for a new striker who falls within their plans and seems to have found him at Real Madrid.
According to A Bola and O Jogo, the Lisbon team would be interested in Mariano Díaz. The Spanish-Dominican forward does not count for Zinedine Zidane and Benfica would be a more than decent destination for Mariano.
Mariano’s salary at Real Madrid is five million euros, a salary that could be assumed without problems by Benfica. Remember that the Portuguese club offered Cavani almost double what the white striker charges.
