Real Madrid made major progress in their operation exit plans for the summer on Friday.
Three players edged closer to the exit doors at Valdebebas – Brahim Diaz on loan to AC Milan (done), James Rodriguez to Everton (pending) and Oscar Rodriguez to Sevilla on permanent deals (done).
There was also an agreement with Benfica to loan Mariano Diaz out for the season, although the player hasn’t given the green light to that move yet.
Those transfers come after the ones which saw Achraf Hakimi move to Inter for 40 million euros plus five million in add-ons and Javi Sanchez join Real Valladolid for 3.5 million euros.
These deals will bring in a total of 83.5 million euros to the Real Madrid coffers, which is a considerable sum in the current climate.
Getting players like James off the wage bill is also a positive for the club’s finances in the long run.
LATEST COMPLETED OR PENDING MOVES
Brahim to AC Milan
Talks between Real Madrid and Milan over a one-year loan deal for Brahim have progressed nicely in recent days.
Milan won’t have the option to buy the Spaniard at the end of the season because Los Blancos see him as a useful player in the future.
Oscar to Sevilla
Sevilla have agreed to pay 13.5 million euros for 75 percent of the economic rights to Oscar.
The remaining 25 percent will stay in Real Madrid‘s possession, while there’s an extra 1.5 million euros in bonuses as part of the transfer.
James to Everton
James is set to join the Premier League club for a fee of around 25 million euros – much less than the 80 million euros Real Madrid paid Monaco for him in 2014.
At Goodison Park, the Colombian will reunite with Carlo Ancelotti, who was the coach who brought him to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu six years ago.
