A reshuffle is being planned at Real Madrid. Next season could see Raul Gonzalez in charge of Castilla and Xabi Alonso taking the reins of the Juvenil A side.
No decision has been made yet, but there is a lot of excitement about the proposal at the club.
Those high up at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu are already shaping the future, and both Raul and Alonso are well-placed to climb the ladder.
Raul already has by moving from Cadete B to Juvenil B, while it has already been decided in La Fabrica that Alonso will be promoted.
Both took their UEFA A and B license together last May, which is an essential step to moving to the level three course that they will go on this April and May.
Currently, Manolo Diaz is in charge at Castilla and has been ever since Santiago Solari was promoted to the first team. Dani Poyatos is the other coach whose job would be impacted by the change but with him not having been a player, his profile doesn’t fit.
The changes would see two former stars take charge of the club’s future. Raul would move within one step of the first team and work very closely with Zinedine Zidane.
Roberto Carlos is also involved and the Brazilian’s work has been applauded.
