Real Madrid and Rangers FC will lock horns in a friendly encounter on Sunday 25 July. The match, which is to be played at Glasgow’s Ibrox Stadium, will kick off at 7pm (CET) and see Carlo Ancelotti’s charges pit their wits against the defending Scottish Premiership champions. The match is part of the British outfit’s line-up of events to mark the club’s 150th anniversary, which is to be celebrated in 2022. Rangers are the Scottish top flight’s most decorated side with 55 titles to their name. Steven Gerrard’s troops secured their latest league crown after remaining unbeaten in all 38 league matches. The sides have met once in a competitive fixture and on that occasion, Real Madrid ran out 1-0 away winners in the first round of the 1963/64 European Cup courtesy of a Puskas strike.
