Real Madrid to employ anti-drone technology at Valdebebas

Real Madrid are set to draw up a security perimeter around their training base in Valdebebas to protect their players and coaching staff from possible aerial intruders.

The club have decided to employ anti-drone technology to avoid unpleasant or even dangerous situations, following the series of robberies which have targeted players’ houses.

Real Madrid will meet with the police authorities and Atletico Madrid to discuss the burglaries, but Los Blancos are eager to take an extra measure.

Although their training ground is close to Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suarez Airport, which makes it an even safer area, Real Madrid are aware of drone intelligence.

Many of these devices are used to record extreme sports videos, but the problem comes when they are used for other – more sinister – purposes.
