Real Madrid are unlikely to play the return leg of the Champions League last 16 tie against Atalanta at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The club don’t want to affect the reconstruction of their home ground even though its pitch is in a decent state for an official game.
Everything indicates that the Champions League fixture will take place at the Alfredo di Stefano.
It’s not yet certain whether the Spanish government would allow fans to this game: as we know, UEFA rules are not against the return of a small number of the spectators.
The Alfredo di Stefano stadium has only 6,000 seats, though.
Real Madrid host Atalanta on March 16 while the away leg is scheduled for February 24.
